The British health insurance company Now Health has increased its presence in Asia by launching a new operation in Indonesia.
Now Health is now able to offer admitted health insurance policies in Indonesia for local, as well as expatriate, individuals and businesses. In order to do this, they have created a partnership with Japanese underwriting company, PT Asuransi Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Indonesia (SJNKI), which has more than 30 years’ experience in the Indonesian insurance market.
The SJNKI underwritten product in Indonesia is based on Now Health’s WorldCare range of plans with four different levels of cover.
“The annual maximum benefit limit for all plans is USD 3m, Now Health explains, and in addition, there are also a range of optional add-ons” in order to accommodate different budgets and requirements. These optional add-ons include: a range of excesses, dental and maternity benefits, elective treatment in the USA; group policies also have the additional option of wellness, optical and vaccination benefits.
Recently, there has been a rise in Asian countries that restricting the choice of health insurance providers to those who are registered locally. That’s why many international health insurance companies, including Now Health, increasingly decide to partner with local insurers in order to be able to offer their products locally.
