The terms and conditions below outline the rules and regulations for online and offline activities with SIP. The terminology “SIP” refers to all companies that form part of the SIP group of companies, operating under the trade name/brand SIP Medical Family Office, which is an internationally registered trademark. Companies include SIP Medical Family Office AG, SIP Switzerland AG, SIP Europe AG, SIP MFO Ltd.
By using our website www.sip.ch or collaborating with SIP through any other channel such as telephone, email, or similar, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its terms. By working with us, we assume you accept these terms and conditions. SIP shall treat as confidential all information received nd shall not use or disclose any such information without the prior written consent, unless such information is being used or disclosed in the context of the services explicitly requested and provided (see abstract “How we use your information”). Equally, you treat as confidential all information relating to SIP, its know-how and procedures, and any documents relating to our operations and which is not in the public domain.

Log files
SIP follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Information we collect
The personal information that you are asked to provide, and the reasons why you are asked to provide it, will be made clear to you at the point we ask you to provide your personal information. If you contact us through a website contact form, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, date of birth, nationality, residence, email address, home address, phone number, job title, preferred correspondance language, the contents of the message and/or attachments you may send us, and any other information you may choose to provide. If you are a prospect or client of us, we may collect further information for the fulfillment of our services.
Our website forms and internal systems are regularly audited to ensure privacy by design. No information shall be collected that is not required for the fulfillment of our service. How we use your informtion is outlined in further detail in the following abstract.
How we use your information / Processing of Personal Data
SIP may collect, store, use and otherwise process Personal Data, including health data, as necessary for the following purposes based on the following legal grounds: (1) to provide its advisory services, for example to generate quotations and comparisions of insurance products, or to administer the insurance policy, for example to process any claims and requests for pre-authorizations from the insurance company, or to provide medical professionals, hospitals or other service providers with the health records based on a your consent; (2) to comply with obligations under applicable law, based on applicable law and SIP’s legitimate interest in ensuring compliance; (3) based on its legitimate interest for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. (4) In addition, SIP may process Personal Data (but excluding health data) to inform the Client from time to time about activities, offers, or information that SIP believes would be useful to the Client. Objections to the processing of Personal Data for marketing purposes can be sent to the Data Protection Officer at dpo@sip.ch. Personal Data will be stored by SIP for as long as is necessary to provide the services and comply with legal requirements such as record retention obligations.
SIP may share Personal Data as follows: (1) with service providers such as IT providers; (2) with third parties, o the extent necessary for the purpose of the above, such as insurance providers, hospitals and medical professionals, and with courts and authorities. SIP will not share Personal Data for marketing purposes with any third parties without first asking for the Client’s explicit consent. Personal Data may be transferred outside abroad. If the recipient is located in a country without an adequate level of protection, the transfer will be based on safeguards such as the EU Model Clauses (a copy can be obtained from SIP’s Data Protection Officer). Within the limits of applicable data protection law, the Client has the right to (1) request from SIP access to and rectification or erasure of Personal Data or restriction of processing, (2) object to the processing, (3) request a copy of Personal Data in a portable format or have Personal Data transferred to another controller, (4) withdraw consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal; and (5) lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Switzerland, with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner). The Client can advise SIP at any time to limit or cancel the sharing of data by SIP with specific service providers.
You expressly agrees not to share health data relating to family members without having obtained their explicit, informed consent for SIP to process their health data as set out in the section “How we use your information”.
Further to that, we may use the information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain our website
- Improve, personalize, and expand our website
- Understand and analyze how you use our website
- Develop new products, services, features, and functionality
- Communicate with you, to provide you with updates and other information relating to our core business activities
- Send you emails
- Find and prevent fraud
GDPR Data Protection Rights
