April International is launching its new International Health Insurance product, Asia Health Plan, which replaces its Asia Expat Cover and Asia Ex+ policies. This policy covers expatriates of all nationalities in South-East Asia.

The premiums are very affordable and clients have the opportunity to incorporate an excess (from US$0 to US$5000), which can reduce the premium by up to 40%.

A private room is now completely covered compared to a limit of US$150 under the old policy.  Another new feature of the policy is that is now valid for life, whereas in contrast, the old policy would terminate once the insured person reached 60 years of age.  April International now also requests a second medical opinion when health costs surpass US$2000.

The Asia Health Plan policy covers expatriates for a minimum of one year in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand or Vietnam, and also extends cover to Europe with the exception of Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
